Solidarity stand in Homs in support of Hasaka province against terrorism

People of the old city of Homs staged on Monday a solidarity stand in support of the innocent civilians of Hasaka province who are targeted by armed terrorist organizations’ attacks.
On February 23, terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) carried out armed attacks on Tal Hermez, Tal Shamiram, Tal Riman, Tal Nasra, al-Agibash, Toma Yalda and al-Haooz villages in the western countryside of Hasaka, burning one of the oldest churches in Syria in the process, killing many civilians and kidnapping others.
People of Old Homs asserted the importance of confronting the terrorists brutal acts and expressed committment to homeland in defeating terrorism.
Priest Anton Jaradeh pointed out that the event confirms that the unity of the Syrian people is the only way for overcoming terrorism, stressing it also voices support to the Syrian army in fighting terrorism.
For his part, Priest Michel Nu’aman called on all Syrians for amity and peace, reiterating Syrians support to their brothers in Hasaka.
Other participants called for committing to the national principles and unify stances in facing terrorism, hoping that Syria will restore security and peace.
