Large-Scale Anti-Terrorism Operations Launched by Syrian Army in Lattakia-Idlib Border

“Syrian soldiers, who took control over Kinsibba and the villages of Ruweisa Rowshu, Sheir al-Zab’ah and Ein al-Beidha, have now deployed forces only two kilometers away from border with Idlib province,” the sources said.

“The distance between Kinsibba and border line with Idlib is covered by forest making advance of the army a little bit difficult,” they added.

“Terrorists in Northeastern Lattakia and Southwestern Idlib have started to flee towards border with Turkey,” the sources went on to say.

“The Russian warplanes and warships (Mediterranean fleet) also have launched massive attacks on the terrorists’ supply lines to prevent them to transfer arms cargos to Northern Lattakia,” the sources added.

Reports said earlier today that Syrian military forces continued to beat back terrorist groups from more positions in the mountainous regions near Lattakia’s border with Idlib province and won back several key heights after hours of non-stop clashes.

The Syrian army soldiers, on their way towards Kinsibba, captured Heights 428.5, 404.5, 485.19 and 417.5 overlooking al-Qala’ah mount in Turkmen mountain, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The Syrian army men also ended their mop-up operations in Ein al-Qantarah height and other heights in Northeastern and Northwestern sides of Kinsibba.

The villages of Marj al-Zawiyeh and Beit Janavar in the Western side of Kinsibba were cleaned up by the Syrian army troops leaving tens of militant dead or wounded.
