The terrorist groups in the Southern parts of Aleppo province have sustained large casualties in the Syrian army’s military operations in the last six days, army and media reports said on Saturday.

A sum of 60 Jeish al-Fatah terrorists, including ten notorious commanders, have been killed from August 14 to 20, several Arabic-language media reported.

Notorious commanders such as Abu Leith al-Tunisi, commander of al-Qaeda-affiliated Ansar al-Islam; Abu Mahmoud, military commander of al-Jabhat al-Shamia Front; Seifollah, chief commander of Ahrar al-Sham’s tank unit and Ahmad Amaya, commander of Ahrar al-Sham’s military training were among the terrorist commanders killed in the past six days, both the army and media reports said.

Earlier on Saturday, Jama’ah Ansar al-Islam confirmed that the terrorist group’s commander alongside his four comrades were killed in a joint offensive of the Syrian army troops and popular forces in the Southern districts of Aleppo city.

“Jama’ah Ansar al-Islam’s commander Abu Leith al-Tunisi was killed in attacks of the Syrian government forces near height of al-Mahrouqat,” the group confirmed.

In the meantime, the Syrian warplanes bombed Jeish al-Fatah’s defense lines in military academy buildings, destroying their tanks and vehicles loaded with arms and ammunition.

Also on Saturday, the top commander of the snipers of Fatah al-Sham Front (the newly-formed al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) was killed in the battle with the Syrian government forces in the Southwestern districts of Aleppo city.

Abu Miqdad al-Turki and his comrades were killed in an army attack.

Abu Miqdad was one of the most notorious snipers of Fatah al-Sham.

Abu Miqdad was trained by Abu Yusuf al-Turki, who also was killed in an air attack on Fatah al-Sham’s training camp in Northern Aleppo.

Abu Yusuf was ranked sixth among snipers worldwide.

Abu Yusuf’s real name was Umit Yashar Toubraq with Turkish nationality.

Abu Yusuf had participated in Afghanistan’s war between the years 2009-2012 and was known as Hamzeh Harbi at that time.
