Spokesman warns against Zionist regime evil plots

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast warned against the evil plots of the Zionist regime.

Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing on Tuesday, he said one major goal of the Zionist regime was to saw discord among regional countries.

He said the objective behind such schemes by the Zionist regime was to materialize its own ambitious plots.

The spokesman stressed in order to develop a realistic view of the existing threats and also to adopt measures accordingly it was necessary that these plots were stopped.

He further noted that Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi is to visit Iraq to exchange views with Iraqi officials and review regional developments with them.

He also said that Salehi’s recent visits to Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates also aimed at exploring the regional topics with officials of those countries.

Stressing that Iran attached prime importance to bilateral and regional cooperation, he said Tehran believed cooperation would lead to stability, security and development in the region.

Asked to comment on the recent news by a number of Arab media about the presence of former Iranian Defense Ministry deputy Ali Reza Asgari in the Zionist regime’s prisons, Mehmanparast said that the Iranian Foreign Ministry has already condemned the abduction of Asgari.

He called for an end to such inhuman acts by the Zionist regime and its backers and said it was utterly unacceptable if such acts were supposed to be used as a pressure tool.
