Stability in Iraq contingent upon convergence amongst Iraqi political groups

Iran’s Majlis Speaker, Ali Larijani has described stability and progress in Iraq as being contingent upon convergence and unity amongst Iraqi political groups.

According to IRIB World Service, in a meeting with a number of prominent Iraqi personalities in Baghdad on Wednesday night, Larijani said that the role of Iraqi political groups in preserving democracy and progress of the new management in the country is of great significance.
He added that the Islamic resistance enjoys good strategic capacities in the region and the failure of the Zionist regime was a major gift to humanity and the Islamic Ummah by the Palestinian resistance fighters.
Referring to efforts by certain Arab states for fueling the turmoil in Syria, he reiterated that these countries should know that continuation of unrest and instability will engulf them as well in the near future.
The Iraqi figures for their part welcomed Iran’s measures for providing Iraq with its achievements in line with the reconstruction and progress of Iraq.
