Sunni cleric: “Islamic unity was one of the most important issues for Imam Khomeini

Sunni cleric Ghaffoor Cherkazi, representative of Islamic Promotion Bureau in Inche Boroun, Golestan Province, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to the death anniversary of the founder of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Rouh Allah Khomeini (RA) and noted the present solidarity among Muslims which has led to an awakening of the Muslims and failure of the enemies is a blessing caused by Imam Khomeini (RA) and Islamic Revolution of Iran.

He praised Imam Khomeini (RA) initiation to name the Islamic Unity Week and said,” Islamic unity was an issue truly highlighted by the late founder of the Islamic Revolution and the late Imam managed to topple the satanic kingdom in Iran which led to the present awakening across the world of Islam.”

He said,” Awakening of the Muslims across the globe originates from the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini (RA) since the people truly discovered that it is through solidarity and unity that they can achieve happiness and defend their rights against the tyrants of the time.”

Sunni cleric from Inche Boroun underscored religiosity, brevity, true belief in God Almighty and open-mindedness as the characteristics which transcended Imam Khomeini (RA) among both his friends and foes.

He noted that the Sunni community of Iran highlights following the guidelines of the late founder of Islamic Revolution and the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the present unity of the Iranian nation as well as their honor is a fruit of following the leader of the Islamic society.
