Supreme Leader Blasts West’s Untruthful Mottos about Democracy

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei blasted the western countries for staging war against the world countries in the name of democracy and campaign against terrorism, and said West’s actions reveal that its words about democracy are unreal.

“As the westerners have shown in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and other countries, they are in a quest for their devilish goals, including controlling the world’s important economic and strategic regions, dominating the nations’ resources and reserves, supporting the Zionist regime…, in the name of democracy and campaign against atomic weapons and terrorism,” The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said, addressing a large gathering of people in the Western Kermanshah province on Sunday.

“Considering these realities, we firmly says that the democracy prevalent in the West is generally unreal and empty,” The Supreme Leader added.

In a most recent case, the untruthful nature of the western democracy was revealed in the detention of large numbers of protestors in New York and other cities of the US during the “Occupy Wall Street” movement.
