Supreme Leader: Mosques are core of cultural resistance

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with a group of prayers leaders of Tehran mosques.

The mosques are regarded as the social base for convergence, consultation, resistance, planning and social and cultural programs, the Supreme Leader said.

To have a good judgment and analysis to review the country’s current affairs, all should have a macro view over cultural issues, the Supreme Leader said.

Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei recalled designation of international Mosque Day following persistence of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation on 21st of August on which the first Qibla for world Muslims Al-Aqsa Mosque was set to ablaze by Zionists in the year 1969.

Formation of Mosque is among initiatives of Islam to form social networking and promoting the culture of dialogue among people to determine their own affairs, Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said.

Mosques played significant role in process of social, political and military decision making throughout the history of Islam, the Supreme Leader said.

Mosques are bastion of human resources development, purifying the hearts and fight with the enemies, improved insight which all lead to creation of Islamic civilization and the role of prayers leaders to this end is of prime importance, the Supreme Leader said.

Mosques should be regarded as the engine to motivate people to share hands in social affairs, Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said.

The Supreme Leader gave priority to the cultural activities, saying that without cultural bastion, all achievements will be lost.

The enemies have embarked on cultural inroad to target people faith which is regarded as the main core in the triumph of the Islamic Revolution, the Supreme Leader said.

Thanks to the blessing of revolutionary Islam, all bullying powers have failed to attain their sinister goals in the region and the US in west of Asia has been bugged down completely, the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said.

In the absence of faith and resistance, Iran like other countries would have surrendered to the US and to the same reason their enmity is endless and so profound, the Supreme Leader said.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei expressed pleasure with possessing large young population, saying that masses of the pious youth should be regarded as one of the biggest advantages of the Islamic revolution.
