Supreme Leader’s Representative Hails Iran’s Role in Victories of Resistance Movements

A representative of the Iranian Supreme Leader on Wednesday lauded the Iranian government and nation for their conspicuous role in the four victories gained by the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance movements against Israel from 2000 to 2012.

“Israel’s defeat in its wars with Hamas and Hezbollah as well as breaking the myth of this regime’s invincibility shows that Iran is the real victor in the region,” Supreme Leader’s Representative at the Iranian Foundation for Martyrs and War Veterans’ Affairs Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hossein Rahimian said, addressing a ceremony in Tehran on Wednesday.

He said the global arrogance and the Zionist regime have embarked on killing Iranian scientists to take revenge for the same defeats and also to prevent Iran’s further progress and growth.

Last year, Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stressed Iran’s direct involvement in the Palestinian and Lebanese confrontation against Israel, including the Lebanese Summer 2006 33-day resistance against the Zionist regime.

“Wherever Iran interferes, it announces it in a very straightforward manner. For instance, we interfered in confrontations against Israel, which resulted in the (Lebanese) victory in the 33-day war and (Palestinians’ victory in) the 22-day (Gaza) war,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in February 2012, addressing millions of Friday Prayers worshippers on Tehran University Campus.

“In future too, we will support and help everyone who opposes the Zionist regime,” the Leader underscored.

“The Zionist regime is a real cancerous tumor that should be cut and will be cut, God Willing,” Ayatollah Khamenei underscored.

In June 2012, Iran announced that its intelligence forces have identified and arrested all terrorist elements behind the assassination of the country’s nuclear scientists.

“All the elements involved in the assassinations of the country’s nuclear scientists have been identified and arrested,” Iran’s Intelligence Ministry announced in a statement at the time.

A number of countries, whose territories and facilities had been misused by the Mossad-backed terrorist teams, have provided the Iranian officials with relevant information, the statement added.

Over the course of the investigations, all other elements behind the assassinations of the Iranian scientists Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, Majid Shahriari and Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan as well as Reza Qashqaei (Roshan’s driver) have been apprehended, the statement read.
