Aleppo International Airport’s technical equipment has been relaunched and the airport will soon host flights, Airport’s Manager Basem Mansour said Sunday.

Mansours said that as soon as the Syrian army soldiers took control over the entire regions that were strategically needed for strengthening security of the flights, reconstruction of Airport’s nearby areas started.

“We are preparing the highway to the airport, while our construction machinery is cleaning the areas from debris left by the terrorists,” he added.

Mansour said also that restoring security to the highway to Aleppo International Airport will significantly decrease the distance between the city and airport.

Last Sunday, Syrian Army soldiers inflicted major losses on Jeish al-Fatah terrorists in the area West of the Aleppo International Airport and captured two strategic districts Southeast of the city.

The army men drove militants out of Karam al-Jazmati and Karam al-Tarab districts in the Eastern part of Aleppo city just to the West of the city’s international airport.

Army officers celebrated the victory as the pro-government forces’ success in capturing Karam al-Jazmati and Karam al-Tarab was a giant stride to reinvigorate security around the Aleppo international airport.
