Syria army foils Aleppo jail attack, kills Nusra Comdr.

The Syrian army has foiled an attack on Aleppo’s central jail by the foreign-backed insurgent groups, killing a local commander of the terrorist al-Nusra group.
Member of al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front as well other terrorist groups launched aggressive attacks on the jail’s guards on Wednesday, using every possible mean, including suicide bombings, but were repelled by the fierce resistance of the Syrian Army forces, who killed and wounded dozens of the intruding terrorists, Syrian state news agency SANA reported.
The report further rejected rumors publicized by some media outlets claiming that insurgent forces had taken control of the prison.
Among those killed in the confrontation was the commander of al-Nusra Front in Aleppo, identified as Saifallah al-Shishany, the report adds, citing Syrian military sources.
Clashes also erupted earlier between the Syrian army units and several armed terrorist groups in the neighborhoods of al-Orfi, al-Jbeileh, al-Rushdiyeh, al-Ommal, al-Hweiqeh and Nazlet al-Rdeisat in the city of Deir Ezzor, east of the country.
The armed clashes further resulted in the killing of scores of foreign terrorists, including Tunisians, and the destruction of a number of their military vehicles and weapons.
