Syria: Army Hits Militants Hard in Aleppo amid Airstrikes

The Syrian warplanes launched airstrikes on terrorists’ positions in Aleppo as the army continued to advance in the Northern province on Thursday.

Heavy clashes resumed between Syrian army and terrorists in the vicinity of Bashkoy village in the Northern countryside of Aleppo, informed source said.

Reports also said the Syrian airstrikes hit terrorists’ positions and movements in Jarouf, Ein al-Beida, al-Bab and Anadan in Aleppo province.

On Wednesday, the Syrian army killed a senior commander of the “Thuwar al-Sham Brigades” terrorist group in a strategic town surrounded by the government forces in Aleppo province.

The Syrian army killed Abdul Rahim al-Hamoud, a senior commander of Thuwar al-Sham Brigades in Khan Touman town, sources said early on Wednesday.

Abdul Rahim al-Hamoud was a defected lieutenant colonel.
