“Syria crisis is an avenge on the Resistance.” Cleric

An Iranian scholar criticized the world powers for the crisis in Syria and called the events the plot and revenge of the arrogant powers from the Resistance.

Hujjat-ol-Islam Mohammadreza Bagherzadeh, member of the academic board at Imam Khomeini (RA) Institute slammed international bodies for the dual stance regarding the crisis in Syria and said defending Muslims against the enemies is a responsibility for all countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He demanded Islamic countries to defend Muslims saying, “Muslim countries should be warned that the domination of the arrogant powers over the Middle East will take its toll on all Islamic governments.”

Prominent cleric also referred to the Islamic Awakening in some Muslim countries and said, “Today we are witness to a popular demand for topple of the regime in Bahrain so that justice prevails.” and added, “This is not a religious confrontation against the regime but an urge for justice and the demand of the people has to be fulfilled.”

He expressed his view on the reasons for a lack of reforms in Bahrain and that world arrogant powers are using all their force to crackdown the people and noted, “What concerns the world powers particularly the US is the movement by Bahrain Shia Muslims because enemies are truly concerned over formation of another Shia government in the region.”

Hujjat-ol-Islam Bagherzadeh denounced the presence of Saudi forces in Bahrain calling that a clear violation of human rights and urged Saudi government to decide on the issue without any religious prejudice.

Iranian scholar also demanded Saudi authorities to maintain justice and democracy instead of concentrating on religious considerations.
