Syria criticizes West obstruction in way to Geneva 2 Confab

Syria’s Ambassador to the UN, Bashar al-Ja’fari, has condemned the Western countries for their obstructionist approach vis-à-vis the holding of Geneva 2 Conference in the near future.

According to Syria Now web base, he said on Wednesday that as it seemed the westerners didn’t like to hold such a conference unless the armed rebel groups would be equipped well militarily.
Ja’fari took note of the anti-Damascus strategy of the West and stated that the so-called opposition coalition has not had any final say among the terrorist gangs alone.
The idea of Geneva 2 Conference was put forth by the Russian foreign minister and his US counterpart on May 7, 2013 in Moscow.
