US Desperate, Has No Way Other than Escaping from Region: Iranian Commander

The United States has no way than escaping from the region, the deputy head of the Iranian Army’s Center for Strategic Studies said pointing to a recent decision by the US administration to withdraw all its forces from Syria.

Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency, Brigadier General Mohammad Hassan Nami said the US has bullishly declared that it will pull its troops from Syria.

The Americans, themselves, have created ISIL, he said, adding that the terrorist group got into trouble many times and was provided with weapons and equipment by the US.

“The US is really desperate and has no way other than escaping from the region,” the commander went on to say.

In a video posted on Twitter last week, US President Donald Trump said he has begun what will be a total withdrawal of US troops from Syria, declaring they “defeated” ISIL and were no longer needed in the country.
