Syria dismisses experienced of using Atomic Bomb US allegations on WMDs

Syria has dismissed allegations that it is preparing to use chemical weapons amid the ongoing turmoil in the country and says Damascus will never use such weapons against Syrians.

According to Press TV, Syrian state television quoted a foreign ministry official as saying on Monday “In response to the statements of the US foreign minister, Syria confirms repeatedly that it will never, under any circumstances, use chemical weapons against its own people, if such weapons exist.”
On Monday, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that if the Syrian government uses such chemical weapons, it would mean that Damascus has crossed a US red line. Referring to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, she said “Once again we issue a very strong warning.”
Commentators say the allegations are repeated attempts by the US to orchestrate an Iraq-like scenario against Syria.
Syria has been the scene of unrest since March 2011, and many people, including large numbers of security forces, have lost their lives in the violence.
