Syria draws gazes, turning Palestine on oblivion

Lebanese Sunni Scholar, Sheikh Maher Hamoud conceded that when unbridled situation in Syria draws world gaze to itself and the issue of Palestine, as a result, is fallen on deaf ears among Muslims, Israel gains effrontery to extend its ruthless policy in Palestine.

The religious scholar, in his weekly sermon, beckoned to the perceptible changes in the region which lead Muslims to turn a blind eye to the precarious situation of Palestinian people and urged Arab people to counter the plots hatched by the Israel, finding a shortcut for the long-drawn-out turmoil in Palestine.

Sheikh Maher Hamoud contended that Israel satiates the monopoly of Al-Aqsa through Muslims’ ignorance.

The Lebanese cleric pointed to the recent Israeli blitz on Palestine and underscored Israeli officials tighten their grips on the land, exploiting the present situation in the region to accomplish their aims.

“Anyone who fire up the present turmoil in Syria and fan the flame of distrust among its Muslims is actually helping the regime of Zionism,” concluded Sheikh Maher Hamoud.
