Syria Foils “Terrorist Infiltration Attempt” from Turkey

“The Syrian authorities foiled Monday an infiltration attempt by an armed terrorist group that sought to enter Syria from Turkey into the Darkoush village, near Ghazaleh border village, and Salqin town in Idleb countryside,” Syrian News Agency SANA reported Monday.

According to the agency, the Syrian security forces killed and injured a number of terrorists, while others succeeded in escaping to Turkey.

“Medical teams in the Turkish side transported the dead and wounded terrorists to the Turkish land and offered medical aid to them,” SANA indicated, adding that “the authorities confiscated the terrorists’ weapons that included rifles, snipers, RPG launchers pump-action shotguns, developed communication devices, explosives, detonators and armors.”
