The Syrian army continued its military operations against the Takfiri terrorist groups in Dara’a province, and killed a large number of militants over the past 24 hours.

The Syrian army killed and wounded scores of the Al-Nusra Front militants in Dara’a province.

The Syrian army also inflicted heavy losses on the terrorist groups in other key province across Syria.

Dara’a

Syrian military forces hit the strongholds of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front hard in Dara’a neighborhoods and near a town in the Western countryside of Dara’a, leaving scores of the militants dead or wounded.

The Syrian army men’s anti-terrorism attacks on al-Nusra positions near the town of al-Yadouda, ended in the killing or wounding of dozens of terrorists and meantime destroyed their military hardware.

Meanwhile, the Syrian soldiers targeted al-Nusra concentration centers in al-Sa’ad road in Dara’a al-Balad, destroying militants’ arms, including their rocket launchers.

Hama

Battlefield sources said the ISIL has for the first time in Hama province failed to carry out a blast operation by using bomb-laden cars due to new military tactics used by the Syrian army.

“The Syrian army managed to destroy the ISIL’s two bomb-laden vehicles near the Mofaker strategic village on Tuesday,” the Arabic-language media quoted an named military source as saying.

The source reiterated that it was for the first time in Hama province that the Syrian army destroyed ISIL’s suicide vehicles without causing any damage and before they could strike at their targets.

He said that the Syrian army’s successful ambush operations over past month have helped the army to fend off the terrorists’ attacks on their military positions.

Earlier on Tuesday, Syrian army troops continued to hit ISIL’s strongholds on the Eastern side of al-Salamiyah and captured two more key heights in the region to reinvigorate security of oil pipelines.

The Syrian soldiers inflicted tens of casualties on the ISIL terrorists and pushed them back from the heights Rami 1 and 2 and Salim 1 and 2.

The Syrian army also targeted four bomb-laden suicide vehicles of the ISIL before reaching government forces’ positions along al-Mofaker-Aqarib road near the newly-liberated oil pipelines in the province.

Reports said earlier on Tuesday that Syrian Army troops and National Defense Forces struck ISIL’s positions along the main oil pipeline in Eastern Hama and forced the Takfiri militants to retreat from the region.

The Syrian government forces jointly continued to move eastward into the desert area of al-Salamiyah, taking control of ISIL-held strategic points along the oil pipeline.

The ISIL suffered a heavy death toll and its military equipment sustained major damage in the attacks.

Aleppo

Syrian army soldiers and Hezbollah fighters continued attacking the strongholds of the terrorist groups in the Northern countryside of Aleppo and cut off possibly the last supply line of the militants in the region, military sources said Tuesday.

“One of the last supply lines of terrorists for transferring arms and ammunition to Afrin in Northern countryside of Aleppo was cut off in the government forces’ clean-up operation in al-Lairamoun and Castillo,” the sources said.

“Closure of this supply line can be considered as one of the main measures to complete siege on Aleppo city,” they added.

Military sources said earlier on Tuesday that almost 95 percent of the building blocks, firms and factories in al-Lairamoun industrial zone in Northern Aleppo province have come under the Syrian government forces’ control and the remaining five percent is under their heavy missile and artillery shelling.

“Syrian army troops and their popular allies have thus far pushed the terrorist groups back from approximately 95 percent of al-Lairamoun industrial zone,” the sources said, and added, “Over 50 terrorists are trapped in Hamoud factory in al-Lairamoun and Hezbollah fighters are still fighting with them.”

“Hezbollah fighters also targeted 6 armored vehicles of the militants in al-Lairamoun’s bus terminal,” they added.

“The Syrian army is completing siege on Bani Zeid neighborhood too,” the sources pointed out, adding, “The government forces also gained fire-control over the Western side of Castillo road.”

Deir Ezzur

Syrian fighter jets launched heavy airstrikes on ISIL gathering centers near the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur, army sources said, adding the air assault slowed down militants’ movements in the region.

“The Syrian warplanes bombed ISIL’s positions in al-Thardah mountain, near airport and Panorama district, claiming the lives of several terrorists.

ISIL’s military hardware also sustained major damage in the attacks.
