Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Cuts Militants’ Supply Route in Damascus Province

 

 The Syrian Army gained full control over terrorists’ line of supply in a strategic region in Damascus province during the past 24 hours.

The entire supply line of the terrorist groups came under the grip of the Syrian government forces.

The Syrian army killed and wounded scores of the terrorists in Damascus province.

The Syrian army also inflicted heavy losses on the terrorist groups in other key province across Syria.

Damascus

The Syrian army in a fresh military operation against the terrorist groups made new advances by taking control of a strategic region in Southwestern Damascus.

The Syrian army troops backed by artillery fire continued its clashes with Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Southwestern Damascus and took control of Tal Shahab South of al-Barda’aya hilltops-North of the town of al-Mughur al-Mir.

Several terrorists were killed and many more were wounded in the clashes with the Syrian army.

Military equipment of the terrorists was also destroyed in the Syrian army’s military operations.

Meantime, a military source announced that after taking control of Barda’aya hilltops, the Syrian army has cut off the Al-Nusra Front’s supply routes to the village of Beit Jen and its surrounding farms which were regarded as the biggest military base of al-Nusra Front in Southwestern Damascus.

Hama

Reports from Northern Hama said on Wednesday that tens of Al-Nusra terrorists have been killed in the Syrian army’s ground and air raids in the region.

The Syrian army troops engaged in tough battle with Al-Nusra Front terrorists in the village of al-Rahjan in Northern Hama, killing tens of the militant and destroying their military equipment.

Meantime, the Syrian air force also pounded the supply routes of terrorists in Abu Dali, al-Balil Sharqi and Tal Khanzir village.

A battlefield source also confirmed that tens of Al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed and wounded in the military operations of the Syrian army and air force. The terrorists’ military hardware was also destroyed.

Quneitra

Militants of Ahrar al-Julan Brigade terrorist group engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists of Ma’az bin Jabal Brigade in Quneitra which resulted in the injury of many terrorists from both sides, websites close to terrorists reported.

The terrorist groups clashed in the town of Seida Julan in Quneitra province on Tuesday.

Commander of Ahrar al-Julan Brigade said that the clashes erupted after his forces’ weapons and ammunition were stolen and sold by Ma’az bin Jabal terrorist group, the terrorist-affiliated websites reported.

He also warned against the tragic consequences of constant clashes among two-thirds of the terrorist groups in Quneitra and Dara’a provinces.

Aleppo

The Turkish army and the Syrian Democratic Forces engaged in clashes in Northern Aleppo as Ankara is preparing for conducting fresh military operations against the SDF in the area, media reports said.

The SDF clashed with the Turkish army troops as the latter intended to get close to Gir mountain in Balbaleh region of Afrin city, the Kurdish-language Hawar news reported.

It noted that the Turkish army failed to penetrate into Gir mountainous region, and was forces to retreat to Bakur lands.

The report came as the Turkish army’s drones troops are constantly flying over Afrin.

Idlib

Unidentified gunmen killed a senior commander of the Al-Nusra Front terrorist group in the city of Idlib, websites close to the terrorists disclosed.

The vehicle of the Abu Zabah Araqi, a notorious commander of the Al-Nusra Front, came under attack by unknown assailants near the central prison in Idlib and he was shot dead, the media sources close to the terrorists said.

They also reported intensified terrorist attacks on Al-Nusra commanders, and said that the vehicle of the commander of Al-Nusra Front’s Islamic Police, Khaled Anis al-Mousa, was exploded in Basqala village in Southern Idlib and his fate is still unknown.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army continued its military operations against the ISIL in Eastern Deir Ezzur, and regained control of several regions and villages there.

The Syrian army units clashed with the ISIL terrorists South of Al-Mayadeen in Eastern Deir Ezzur and took control of al-Laij, al-Shamr and al-Sabkheh villages in that area.

A number of terrorists were killed and many more were injured in fierce clashes with the government troops.
