Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Destroys Al-Nusra Terrorists’ Positions in Idlib, Hama

The Damascus Army pounded and destroyed the military positions and movements of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorists in Hama and Idlib provinces, inflicting heavy losses on them.

The Syrian Army’s artillery units pounded a group of Tahrir al-Sham terrorists in the surrounding areas of Jisr al-Shoghour in Western Idlib, killing and injuring all terrorists, including their snipers while destroying their weapons and military equipment.

In Northern Hama, the army’s missile and artillery units pounded the movements of al-Nusra Front terrorists in the outskirts of al-Latamineh town, inflicting heavy casualties and losses on the militants.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Idlib-Hama

The Syrian army pounded and destroyed the military positions and movements of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at terrorists in Hama and Idlib provinces, inflicting heavy losses on them.

Meantime, the Syrian army’s artillery units pounded the military positions of Tahrir al-Sham and its allies near the al-Zuka village in Northwestern Hama, killing several terrorists.

In a relevant development on Saturday, the army forwarded a large number of forces and military hardware, including armored vehicles and heavy weapons, to contact lines with the terrorists in Northern and Northeastern Aleppo in the last few days.

A field source reported, meantime, that over five thousand army men and a huge amount of arms and ammunition have been deployed in a large region from al-Shahba dam to contact lines with terrorist-held Afrin, Um Hawsh, Tal Rifat, Habal, Ein Daqna, Minq and its airport, Deir Jamal, Nubl and al-Zahra and other regions in Northeastern Aleppo.

The source further said that deployment of more army forces and equipment is mainly aimed at countering possible attacks of the terrorists and also preparing for a large-scale cleansing operation to purge the region from the remaining pockets of the terrorists.

The source went on to say that fourteen civilians, including children and women, were killed or wounded in the terrorists’ mortar attack on al-Lairamoun region North of Aleppo.

Raqqa

Heavy clashes are reported between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and civilians in the city of Raqqa again.

Media sources in Raqqa said that the SDF forces fired at the residents of the district of al-Mashlab in Raqqa city, and wounded several people.

Meantime, local sources disclosed that an SDF patrol was targeted by unknown assailants near Monir Habib school in Ramibeh district, killing one SDF fighter, who was also a former ISIL member, and injuring another one.

In a relevant development last month, civilians in the Southeastern Deir Ezzur raided the positions of the US-backed SDF, destroying their checkpoints.

The SDF opened fire at the people in the village of al-Sajar in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, injuring seven villagers.

The villagers, later, set fire at the SDF-run al-Sijan oilfield near al-Sajar, destroying the terrorists’ checkpoints.

In the meantime, a field source pointed to intensified tensions in the SDF-held regions in Deir Ezzur, adding that two SDF militias were killed in a bomb blast near al-Tanak oilfield in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

Aleppo

Ankara-backed terrorists engaged in a fresh wave of infighting again in the city of al-Bab in Northeastern Aleppo as there are reports on clashes between civilians and the terrorists in the region.

Local sources in al-Bab reported that heavy clashes erupted between Ahrar al-Sharqiyeh and Ahrar al-Hasaka terrorists in al-Bab.

The Ahrar al-Hasaka terrorist group has just separated from Ahrar al-Sharqiyeh.

They added that the infighting killed and wounded a number of militants on both sides.

Meantime, heavy clashes erupted between the Ankara-backed al-Shaitat and a group of civilians in Northern Syria.

Detention of civilians by the Ankara-backed militants still continues in Afrin with the aim of plundering the properties of residents.
