The Syrian army pounded and destroyed the military positions and gathering centers of the Takfiri terrorists in Deir Ezzur province, inflicting heavy losses on them.

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Dara’a and Homs, over past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in Syria’s key provinces.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army troops, backed up by the Russian fighter jets, pushed the ISIL terrorists back from part of al-Sina’ah district near the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur.

The Syrian army men and the Russian bombers at first fended off the ISIL assaults, and then in a rapid counter-attack, the pro-government fighters forced the terrorists to retreat from al-Sina’ah.

At least 10 members of the ISIL were killed and several more were wounded in the counter-attack.

The ISIL weapons and ammunition were also seized by the army men.

Dara’a

Hundreds of Al-Qaeda-affiliated Al-Nusra Front terrorists attempted to launch attacks on Dara’a province from neighboring Sweida, but were pushed back by the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Fatemiyoun brigade.

Over 20 Al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed and 15 others were injured in tough battle with the NDF and Fatemiyoun brigade forces in Sweida border regions, including Khalif and al-Sheikh Hassan hilltops.

Meantime, the Syrian army’s artillery units pounded the military positions of Al-Nusra Front terrorist group in Basri Square in Dara’a power plant region, destroying Al-Nusra Front terrorists’ gathering center with all the militants inside.

In a relevant development earlier on Monday, the Syrian Army troops stormed the positions and a main command center of the al-Nusra Front in one of the Central neighborhoods of the city of Dara’a and inflicted major losses on the terrorists.

At least eleven members of al-Nusra Front were killed and several more were wounded in the Syrian soldiers’ offensives on the terrorist group’s centers in Dara’a al-Mahatta.

The army men also repelled Takfiri terrorists’ attempts to prevail over the government forces’ checkpoint in Dara’a al-Mahatta, which ended in the killing or wounding of several militants.

Also, the Syrian army repulsed terrorists’ attack on Sheikh Hossein (Tal al-Sheikh Hossein) and Khalif hilltops in Dara’a province near the borders with Sweida.

The Al-Nusra Front terrorists were pushed back from the strategic regions in Dara’a province.

Meantime, a group of al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed as they were trying to attack strategic areas in Manshiyeh region in Dara’a al-Balad near the border with Jordan.

Homs

The Syrian army and the resistance forces continued their advances in the Eastern part of Homs province, and started fresh operations to seize back several important areas near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur).

The army advanced towards Arak region in the Eastern countryside of Palmyra city and has managed to approach Arak and T3 gas fields.

The Syrian army has won back the strategic cities of Palmyra and Quaryatayn in the part month.

If the army purges terrorists from Arak gas field in the coming days, the next destination will be the strategic city of al-Sukhneh which would mean cutting off ISIL’s main supply route between Deir Ezzur and Raqqa provinces.

In a relevant development earlier on Monday, the Syrian fighter jets carried out several combat flights over the ISIL concentration centers near Palmyra and Quaryatayn and targeted the terrorist group’s military and supplying vehicles.

The Syrian warplanes bombed a number of the ISIL machinegun-equipped vehicles on a road in the Eastern part of Quaryatayn, which not only claimed the lives of several militants but destroyed the vehicles in large scale.

The Syrian Army’s aircraft, in the meantime, targeted a supplying route of the ISIL between the Arak oilfield and Eastern part of Palmyra, which ended in the destruction of most of the column’s vehicles.

An ISIL site in the Northern mountain of Palmyra came also under the heavy bombardments of the Syrian jets.

Another report said that the Syrian popular forces killed and injured several terrorists in a successful ambush in the Northern part of Homs province.

At least two terrorists were killed and several others were injured when the popular forces ambushed them in the Northern part of the village of Kafar Nan in Northern Homs.

Aleppo

Military sources announced that the Syrian Army has equipped its combat units with the Russian-Made BTR-82A armored personnel carriers to enable them to have more rapid and safer anti-terrorism missions in their large-scale operations in the Northern province of Aleppo.
