The Syrian army hit hard the terrorists’ military positions and hardware in Deir Ezzur province in Eastern Syria.

The terrorists in Deir Ezzur province sustained heavy losses in tough battle with the Syrian army.

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army troops continued their advances against ISIL in Eastern Homs, and are now getting ready to storm the last stronghold of the terrorists in the province that is also considered as a gate to Deir Ezzur, military sources said on Tuesday.

The sources said that the army soldiers, backed up by the country’s Air Force, engaged in a fresh round of clashes with ISIL in near Palmyra city and seized control over Mount al-Mostadireh 20km away from Palmyra.

They added that the army aircraft, meantime, carried out several combat flights over ISIL’s positions, supply lines and movements in al-Talileh, Station 3 and around the town of al-Sukhneh in Badiyeh (desert) of Palmyra, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The sources further said that the army now plans to move from Mount al-Mostadireh towards Arak oilfield a few kilometers away.

They added that the main objective of the army operation in Eastern Homs is winning control over the town and the region of al-Shukhna that is seen as a main gate to Deir Ezzur province to lift ISIL’s siege on Deir Ezzur city and airbase.

Raqqa

The predominately Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued the fourth phase of their Euphrates Rage Operation in the Western part of Raqqa province, taking control over several villages near al-Tabaqa city and killing tens of militants.

The SDF fighters launched fresh attacks to cut off ISIL’s supply lines between Raqqa province and other cities in Syria and managed to take full control over the villages of al-Houreh, Baroudeh and Matyoureh 20km East of the newly-liberated town of al-Tabaqa.

The Kurdish combatants killed 25 ISIL militants and destroyed one of their bomb-laden vehicle. They also seized over a large volume of arms and ammunition.

Homs

The Syrian Army troops equipped with the most modern military equipment and experienced commandos continued to score more victories against the ISIL in the country’s Eastern deserts in spite of the US Army warning on Monday, a military source said.

The source said that the army troops, with the back of the special forces, launched a fresh round of operations and cut off the entire supply lines from Palmyra to ISIL’s defense lines, hitting ISIL’s positions in Eastern Homs from three directions, including the desert region and hills regardless of the US-led coalition’s warning of halting military operations in Southern Syria.

In the meantime, the army units made fresh advances in Qasr al-Hayereh al-Qarbi and the road to the town of Quaryatayn and managed to take control over key hills and positons, including Syriatel hill, paving the way to recapture the town of Bardeh.

The source further said that the army utilized a number of special forces that had gone under desert-war trainings, adding that the army units were also equipped with modern military hardware.

The source went on to say that the army will continue the operation to restore sustainable security to Homs city and its nearby oilfields.

Aleppo

The Syrian Army troops continued their anti-ISIL operation near the Jarah military airport in Eastern Aleppo and managed to recapture more strategic regions, resulting in a full collapse of the terrorist front in the Southern part of the strategic airbase.

The army soldiers managed to win back al-Wadhah al-Jneideh region after a series of bloody battle with the ISIL members.

Military sources said that the army’s control over al-Wadhah al-Jneideh region has restored full security to Jarah airbase.

The army troops also continued their operation in Eastern Aleppo, hitting the positions of the ISIL near its stronghold of Maskana.

As the Syrian soldiers took full control over the Maskana train station, they advanced toward the Northern flank of the strategic town, pounding ISIL’s defense lines in Ras Al-Ayn village and its surroundings that eventually led to the capture of the village by the government troops.
