Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Inflicts Heavy Losses on Terrorists in Homs Province

 

 The Syrian army hit hard the terrorists’ military positions and hardware in several areas in the Northern part of Homs province.

The terrorists sustained heavy losses in the Syrian army’s attacks.

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Homs

The Syrian Army’s missile units shelled ISIL’s positions and movements in al-Sukhnah region to pave the ground for the faster advances of the ground troops towards Deir Ezzur, destroying a command center of the terrorists.

The army’s missile units opened heavy fire at ISIL’s positions in al-Madjaneh region Southeast of Humeimeh region near the provincial borders with Deir Ezzur, destroying a command center of the terrorists.

Military sources confirmed that ISIL’s military equipment was set ablaze and a number of militants were killed or wounded in the blast at their command center near the town of al-Sukhnah.

In the meantime, the missile units targeted ISIL’s movements near the town of al-Sukhna, destroying a large volume of military equipment in Syriatel tower overlooking al-Sukhnah.

A number of terrorists were also killed in the Syriatel attack.

Deir Ezzur

One of the notorious field commanders of the ISIL terrorist group was killed in the Syrian Army troops’ operation East of Deir Ezzur city.

The army units stormed ISIL’s defense lines in the village of Bu Omar in the Eastern countryside of Deir Ezzur, killing a number of terrorists, including Khaled Nasser, a senior field commander.

The army men also hit ISIL’s concentration centers hard in the Southern and Southwestern outskirts of the city and in areas around Deir Ezzur airbase, inflicting major damage on the militants’ equipment.

In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force bombed ISIL’s positions and movements in al-Kanamat neighborhood, al-Kanamat passageways, Huweija al-Sakar reign and Panorama base, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.

Raqqa

The Syrian Army troops hit ISIL’s defense lines in Southeastern Raqqa, and managed to seize more territories in their push towards Deir Ezzur.

The army men deployed in al-Sabkhawi region stormed ISIL’s positions and drove them out of the village of al-Salam al-Alaykom and its surrounding regions.

The ISIL suffered heavy casualties and its military hardware sustained major damage in the attack.

The army men are to end ISIL’s presence in Raqqa and move towards Deir Ezzur. Reports said earlier on Monday that the army hit ISIL’s defense lines in Southeastern Raqqa, and deployed in regions close to the Euphrates River.

The army units managed to deploy close to the last small but key town that is under the control of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and Manbij Military Council after driving ISIL out of the towns of al-Dakhileh and Ba’ar al-Sabkhawi and al-Sabkhawi gas field.

The army forces are only 18km away from the Euphrates River.

The Syrian Army is now is close to the Euphrates River and the Deir Ezzur provincial border with the Raqqa province, a field source confirmed.

Hama

The Russian and Syrian fighter jets carried out several combat flights over ISIL’s defense lines and movements in Eastern Hama to provide aerial back up for the Syrian government troops that are moving towards Deir Ezzur.

The warplanes launched heavy airstrikes on ISIL’s positions in the villages of Qalib al-Thor, Abu Hanaya, Salba, Mas’oud, Abu Habibat and al-Hardaneh, killing tens of terrorists and destroying their military equipment.

In the meantime, the Syrian Army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL near the town of Aqayrabat.

Also, the army’s artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at ISIL’s movements along the oil pipeline and in nearby villages, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.
