Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Preparing for Cleansing ISIL from Badiyeh of Homs

The Damascus army is preparing to launch military operations against the remnants of the ISIL terrorists in the Eastern Badiyeh of Homs as reports said that the US-backed militants blocked civilian exit from al-Rukban camp in the occupied al-Tanf region at the border with Iraq.

“The Syrian army is preparing for mop-up operations against the ISIL in Badiyeh of al-Sukhneh in Eastern Homs between the two regions of Hamimeh and Station 3 as well as the Southeastern parts of Badiyeh al-Sukhneh,” the Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper reported.

It added that the Syrian army’s air unit has pounded the ISIL’s mobile targets near Waze’e dam and the border between Homs and Deir Ezzur in Eastern Badiyeh of Homs, leaving heavy damage on the militants.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in several provinces across Syria.

Homs

The Syrian army is preparing to launch military operations against the remnants of the ISIL terrorists in the Eastern Badiyeh of Homs as reports said that the US-supported militants block civilian exit from al-Rukban camp in the occupied al-Tanf region at the border with Iraq.

The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper reported on Monday that the Syrian army is preparing for purging operations against the ISIL in Badiyeh of al-Sukhneh in Eastern Homs between the two regions of Hamimeh and Station 3 as well as the Southeastern parts of Badiyeh al-Sukhneh.

It added that the Syrian army’s air unit has pounded the ISIL’s mobile targets near Waze’e dam and the border between Homs and Deir Ezzur in Eastern Badiyeh of Homs, leaving heavy damage on the militants.

The newspaper quoted special sources as saying that the terrorists stationed in al-Tanf region at the border with Iraq have prevented evacuation of civilians from al-Rukban camp, upon the American forces’ order, blocking any efforts by the Syrian government to return them to their homes or sending humanitarian aid to the region.

Hama

The Syrian Army has made final preparations for cleansing Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorists in the demilitarized zone after massive assault by the militants on government forces’ military positions there, media reports said.

“The Syrian Army troops are in a state of alert in all contact lines with terrorists in Northern and Northwestern Hama in a bid to launch military operations soon,” the Arabic-language service of the Russian Sputnik news agency quoted a Syrian military source as saying.

It reiterated that the Syrian Army cannot always be on a defensive mode against the terrorists’ attacks from the demilitarized zone, and said, “After the recent attack by the terrorists on the Syrian Army’s military positions in Hama, there are contacts between the Syrian sides to come to a solution for responding to the recent terrorist attacks from the demilitarized zone.”

The source added that the primary goal for carrying out military operations against terrorists is to put an end to the presence of the terrorists in demilitarized zone and restoring security to the surrounding areas of towns near the battlefronts of Hama which are exposed to the terrorists’ constant missile attacks.

Meantime, the Syrian Army troops engaged in heavy clashes with Tahrir al-Sham and Turkistani Party terrorists as well as other foreign militants who had carried out massive attack on the Syrian Army’s military positions in Tal al-Qaleh axis of Abu Ali mountain in Northeastern Lattakia. The terrorists sustained losses and casualties in clashes with the Syrian Army soldiers after their attack was fended off.

Deir Ezzur

More civilians, including women and children, were killed by phosphorous bombs dropped by the US-led coalition warplanes on Eastern Deir Ezzur.

The US-led coalition fighter jets conducted chemical bomb attack using white phosphorus on gatherings of the civilians in al-Baghouz farms in Eastern Deir Ezzur along the border with Iraq on Sunday afternoon.

Several civilians, most of them women and children, were killed and wounded in the air raids by the US-led coalition.

The US-led coalition fighter jets had also pounded the besieged Al-Baghouz Foqani Town in Eastern Syria with phosphorus gas on Saturday.

“The US-led fighter jets hit Baghouz farms in Eastern Deir Ezzur with missiles containing white phosphorus substance,” the Arabic-language SANA news website quoted local sources in Deir Ezzur as saying.
