Ayatollah Shahroudi: Zionists behind insulting Prophet Muhammad

Vice-Chairman of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Seyyed Mahmoud Shahroudi said on Sunday that the Zionist regime is behind the act of insulting the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Addressing a local gathering in the holy city of Qom, Shahroudi underscored that the Zionists are trying to uproot Islam.

They are seeking to tarnish the image of Islam by creating the Takfiri terrorist groups, he added.

Shahroudi pointed out that the Zionists are trying to undermine the Islamic resistance against Israel, distort the Islamic awakening and damage the Islam’ s position that has been reinforced in the region and across the globe following the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
