Syria in Last 24 Hours: ISIL Retreats from More Positions in Sweida Desert under Syrian Army Attacks

The Damascus Army continued hunting the remaining pockets of ISIL in the Eastern deserts of Sweida over the past 24 hours, driving the terrorists out of more key points in Toloul al-Safa.

The Syrian army engaged in fresh clashes with the ISIL in Toloul al-Safa in the Eastern desert of Sweida, capturing several points in the rugged Terrain.

The government troops further advanced towards Qabr Sheikh Hossein and tightened noose on the terrorists.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Sweida

The Syrian Army forces continued hunting the remaining pockets of ISIL in the Eastern desert of Sweida on Monday, driving the terrorists out of more key points in Toloul al-Safa.

The army men engaged in fresh clashes with ISIL in Toloul al-Safa in the Eastern desert of Sweida and captured several points in the rugged Terrain.

The army units further advanced towards Qabr Sheikh Hossein and tightened noose on the terrorists.

ISIL suffered heavy casualties in the attack and pulled its fighters back to the depth of Toloul al-Safa rugged terrain.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and missile units and aircraft pounded ISIL’s positions and movements in Toloul al-Safa, inflicting a number of casualties on them and destroying their arms and equipment.

Aleppo

Local sources in Western Aleppo reported that infighting has erupted among the Turkey-backed terrorists in Western Aleppo over plundering civilians’ properties.

The sources said on Monday that Ahrar al-Sharqiyeh and Foj al-Mostafa militants engaged in heavy clashes in Afrin.

They added that a number of militants of both sides were killed and wounded, noting that the clashes erupted after differences over their share of the plundered properties.

The report also said that Ahrar al-Sharqiyeh has detained a number of members of Foj al-Mostafa terrorists, adding that the militants in the region are on alert.

Afrin has been the scene of daily infighting, murder and plundering of civilians’ properties by militants after the Turkish army and its affiliated militia occupied the region.

Idlib

Abu Abdul Rahman Qoraba, a notorious commander of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front), was gunned down by unidentified attackers in Idlib province on Monday.

Abu Abdul Rahman Qoraba, a key field commander of Tahrir al-Sham, was killed after unknown assailants opened fire at him near the town of Sarmada near the border with Turkey.

In the meantime, Tahrir al-Sham stormed a base of rival ISIL terrorists near the town of Ma’arat Mesrin in Northern Idlib and seized their military equipment.

Local sources in Southern Idlib, meantime, reported that Tahrir al-Sham raided the village of Larouz in Jabal al-Zaviah and opened fire at people.

Tahrir al-Sahm killed a villager and arrested 11 more, including several teachers and transferred them to an unknown destination without any reason.
