assad_AP16455199266_620x350 Syrian President pointing out that the country is approaching the final stages of crisis outlined his views on various subjects.
President Bashar al Assad said: “Syria is in transition from the crisis which has been grappling with for the past two years.

The nasty games that the West and its allies and supporters have started are coming to an end. Unlike the mostly secret effort to get share of the business for the West, they have been lobbying for reconstruction, oil and gas, which recently discovered in large amounts on the Syrian coast.”

Syrian president expressed that: “The International Bank follows The United States lead, and it does not do anything without her permission. This bank had proposed a loan worth $21 billion to participate in reconstruction of Syria with very easy terms. The proposal presented by Abdullah Dardari, but we rejected the offer.”

He said his current concerns are about the postwar problems: “they constitute our most important concern, especially because of the sheer volume of destruction which we face.”

Assad added: “we have to heal the injured people, those who have lost loved ones, some have been displaced and some have lost their houses and their wealth, but our main concern is another type of destruction which happened in Syria and other countries, and that is religious and tribal issues, an important issue for the people and its future and we should be seriously and actively cope with it and should attempt to eradicate them.”

Assad on the Golan front opening, said: “It is quite serious subject, but not in the forms of show offs, such as occasional harassment of shots fired at the Zionist regime, and give up the initiatives, but a deliberate and effective resistance to take the initiative.”

He added: “Russian oil companies have the exploration rights on the Syria coasts, and surely the Russians would not change their positions towards Syria, because they protect and defend their strategic and national security interests. If the West and its allies dominate Syria, Russian interests will be jeopardized.”

President Assad about reconstruction said: “Chinese companies are ready to play their role in this regard.” He also talked about Geneva 2 conference stating: “You cannot expect stellar results from the Geneva 2 conference, since those who sit on the other side of the table, could not be making decision on behalf of the armed groups in Syria.”

Assad added: “there are many differences among the opposition at home and abroad, with this kind of condition, Russia and Syria have called for dialogue between the parties, especially important was the agreement between Russia and the US on holding the meeting.”
