Syria, Iran to Expand Agricultural Cooperation

Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Subhi al-Abdullah, reviewed with Assistant to the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus, Abbas Kanro, means of boosting bilateral cooperation between Syria and Iran, particularly expanding agricultural exports.

Al-Abdullah stressed Syria’s keenness on activating cooperation between the two countries and opening the Iranian markets in front of the surplus of Syrian agricultural products, particularly citrus and olive oil.

He expressed the desire to enhance cooperation in the veterinary health sector.

In turn, Kanro stressed Iran’s keenness on bolstering agricultural cooperation between the two sides, expressing his country’s desire to import Syrian agricultural products.
