The ISIL terrorist group executed eight of its own members in the Northeastern part of Aleppo province near the border with Turkey on charges of fleeing the battlefields, a media activist said.

“The ISIL security forces arrested an eight-member group of their comrades, who departed the ISIL terrorist group and tried to cross Syrian border to Turkey,” Naser Taljabini said.

“There were some non-Syrian Arab fighters among the arrested group, who were killed by the ISIL shooting squad in the University of Etehad in the Western part of the border town of Manbij,” the journalist added.

Last week, the ISIL executed 21 of its own members in the Northeastern city of Raqqa.

“At least 21 members of the ISIL were arrested by the Takfiri terrorist group’s security forces and executed on charge of escaping battles against the Syrian government forces across the country,” the source said adding, “A number the ISIL commanders have also been relocated to the terrorist group’s positions in Iraq.”
