Syria: ISIL Withdraws from Key Crossroad Northwest of Palmyra

 

Syrian Army soldiers stormed ISIL’s positons in Eastern Homs and pushed the terrorists back from a strategic crossroad in and energy-rich region in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The army troops continued their advances to the Northwest of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) and seized control of Hayan Gas Field Crossroad.

ISIL lost a number of forces and its military equipment sustained major damage in the attack.

The army aircraft played a crucial role in the ground forces’ advances, reports said.

The warplanes bombed heavily ISIL’s military columns and gatherings near the gas and oil wells in Tadmur countryside, killing several terrorists.

Also, the army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL and seized control over a number of key positions near al-Maher oilfield on Saturday.

The army soldiers inflicted a heavy death toll on the militants and seized several heights overlooking al-Maher oilfield.

The army troops also captured several military positions near Hayan gas company and won control over the village of al-Baydheh al-Sharqi to the South of Jahar crossroad.
