The Syrian Army troops and the National Defense Forces continued to push back the terrorist groups from their strongholds and restored security to more heights near Lattakia province’s border with Idlib province.

The Syrian government forces repelled the large-scale offensives of the terrorist groups and in a rapid counterattack forced them to pull their members back from the Heights of 1112 and 1154 and mountain of al-Zweiqat.

The terrorist groups suffered a heavy death toll in the army’s counterattack.

Then, the army and its allies pushed North towards Kabani at Lattakia border with Idlib province and in a several hours non-stop battle took full control over the strategic hill of Kabani.

Reports said earlier today that a large number of the army’s experienced forces, deployed in Homs province, have joined the Syrian soldiers to fight against the Takfiri terrorist groups across the mountainous regions of Lattakia province near the border with Turkey and Idlib province, sources said.

“The Syrian army’s Desert Hawks Brigade, deployed in the battlefield of Homs province in Quaryatayn and Palmyra (Tadmur), has been dispatched to the Northern and Northeastern parts of Lattakia province to join the pro-government forces to cleanse the Aleppo-Lattakia highway and its nearby lands,” the sources said.
