Syria: US-Backed Terrorist Groups Form Joint Committee to Push towards Deir Ezzur

The Free Syrian Army (FSA) and its affiliated groups formed a military committee to kick off join attacks on Syrian army and ISIL in Deir Ezzur through the Badiyeh (desert) region.

Terrorists of Jeish al-Aswad al-Sharqi, Jeish Maqawir al-Thawra, Ahrar al-Sharqi and Jeish al-Sharqi affiliated to the FSA formed a military committee to specify the platform for their operation towards Deir Ezzur after the US ordered them to launch the assault through the town of Shaddadi in Southern Hasaka.

Yet, the FSA-affiliated groups announced in a statement that Badiyeh is their best option to launch the Deir Ezzur attack.

In the meantime, the terrorist groups held talks to form a National Army to enter Deir Ezzur.

An Arab media outlet reported earlier today that US has asked the FSA units deployed at al-Tanf border-crossing to leave the region for the city of al-Shadadi in Southern Hasaka to establish a front for an imminent operation towards Deir Ezzur.

The Arabic-language al-Watan daily reported that the US military officials have intensified talks with the Liwa Maqawir al-Thawra affiliated to the FSA to leave their position in al-Tanf border-crossing in Southern Homs for al-Shadadi in Southern Hasaka to launch an imminent operation towards Deir Ezzur.

Al-Watan further added that the US move came following the Syrian Army advances towards Deir Ezzur from different flanks.

The Arab daily said that the FSA, in return, is trying to persuade the US to start Deir Ezzur battle from Badiyeh, adding that the FSA has also called on the US to back them up in a possible battle against the Syrian Army troops and the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in their push toward Deir Ezzur.

Al-Watan further quoted Commander of Jeish al-Maqawir al-Thawra Mohanad Talla’a as saying that they demanded the US army to support their plan to form a new army known as the National Army from Jeish al-Maqawir fighter to enter Deir Ezzur and seize the city from ISIL.

Talla’a was quoted as saying by al-Watan that the US has not agreed with the formation of the National Army by al-Maqawir which possibly means that the US army is not pursuing nothing but evacuating al-Tang base to hand it over to the Russians.
