Syrian Armed Forces Inflict Major Losses on ISIL East of Homs

The Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country’s Air Force and artillery units, targeted the ISIL gathering centers in the energy-rich regions of Eastern Homs, inflicting heavy damage on the militants’ military hardware.

The Syrian army men engaged in heavy fighting with the ISIL terrorists in Jabal al-Sha’er and in the Northeastern part of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur), which ended in the killing or wounding of several militants, including non-Syrians.

The Syrian fighter jets, for their part, bombed the ISIL strongholds and bases East of Tadmur, surroundings of al-Sokhnah and near al-Sha’er gas field, claiming the lives of several ISIL man.

The Syrian artillery units also shelled the ISIL positions in near al-Faraqles gas company East of Homs, killing or wounding several militants.

The Syrian warplane also carried out several combat flights over ISIL defense lines near the small town of Tald and in al-Houleh region in the Northern part of Homs.

Earlier reports said that the Syrian Army troops continued to advance against the ISIL terrorists in a mountainous region East of the ancient Assyrian town of Quaryatayn and took back several more heights there.

The ISIL left behind tens of the dead or wounded members and fled its positions in Khanzir mountain under the heavy offensive of the Syrian soldiers.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists’ military hardware also sustained major damage in the attacks.
