The Syrian army started a new round of military operations to take back the city of Idlib in the Northwestern parts of the country.
The army units ushered in vast operations from Ariha Bridge and the town of Al-Mastoumeh and have already won the battles and taken control over Kafr Najd, Nahlia and al-Moqbeleh districts.

The army’s operations started in the early hours of Thursday and the Syrian troops blocked all escape routes of the terrorists.

On Wednesday, a military source said that calm had been restored to vast areas in the Southwestern province of Dara’a by the Syrian Army, stressing the army men are resolved to do their best to put a sustainable end to the ongoing bloodshed in the country.

Um Walad, Al-Karak al-Sharqi, Tloul el Khelif and the area surrounding Bilal al-Habashi mosque in the city and countryside of the province are safe now due to successful operations of the Syrian armed forces.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 210,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.

Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. According to reports, more than seven million Syrians have become internally displaced.
