Syrian Army Continues to Advance towards Terrorist-Held Airbase in Idlib

The army men stormed the Al-Nusra’s positions on Tal (hill) al-Shahid after capturing Tal al-Zaman and managed to impose control over a key region West of the village of Jafr al-Mansour along the road connecting Tal al-Zaman to Abu al-Dhohour.

A military source said that a vast region in Southern Aleppo in now under the monitoring of army soldiers after the fall of Tal al-Shahid into the government forces.

The source said that the army also pushed terrorists back from the Eastern part of the town of al-Oweinat after capturing the Tal al-Shahid.

The army men are planning to advance more from Southern Aleppo to lay siege on Abu al-Dhohour airbase from the North, while the military airbase has been under the army’s siege from its Eastern and Southwestern directions.

Military sources confirmed on Monday that the army troops launched a fresh offensive from Southern Aleppo towards the terrorist-held Abu al-Dhohour airbase in Southeastern Idlib.

The sources said that the army units, deployed in Southwestern Aleppo, kicked off fresh attacks on terrorists’ positions to access the Abu al-Dhohour airbase in Southeastern Idlib from one more flank.

The sources further said that the army men fortified their positions in al-Zaman region, adding that the army units significantly decreased their distance to Abu al-Dhohour airbase from al-Zaman front.
