Syrian Army Destroys Rebels’ Weapons Market in Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army targeted and destroyed an arms sales market in a militant-ruled area in Deir Ezzur province, Eastern Syria.
The army units attacked and destroyed militants’ weapons market in Al-Bukamal town in Deir Ezzur, killing more than 30 terrorists and injuring dozens more.

Several foreign terrorists, including Khaled Al-Younis from Tunisia, were among the dead.

Meantime, the Syrian army killed and injured a large number of other terrorists in its offensive operations in Al-Mari’ayeh and Hoviyja Al-Mari’ayeh districts of Deir Ezzur city.

The bodies of two other notorious terrorists named Khalil Al-Harak and Mohamed Qanam Al-Hussein were indentified among the dead.

The conflict in Syria started in March 2011, when sporadic pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of western and regional states.

The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.

As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.

Washington has remained indifferent to warnings by Russia and other world powers about the consequences of arming militant groups.
