Syrian Army Destroys Terrorists’ Positions in Idleb, Quneitra

Units of the Syrian army eliminated terrorists’ positions and weapons in many areas across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment, state-run SANA news agency reported Sunday.

In Hama/Idleb, hideouts and vehicles of terrorists from the so-called “Jaish al-Fateh” were destroyed in army airstrikes in Abu al-Duhour, Kinsafra, Iblin, Qaqour, Frika, Ariha, al-Mansoura, al-Inkawi and Qastoun in the countryside of Idleb and Hama provinces.

In the southern region, army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, clashed on Saturday night with armed terrorist groups, which tried to infiltrate from the villages of al-Hamidiyeh, al- Hurriyeh and Ovania towards Tal al-Qaba’a and Khan Arnabeh town in the countryside of Quneitra province.

Field sources told SANA on Sunday that the clashes resulted in the death and injury of a number of terrorists and the demolishing of their vehicle with all weapons and ammunition inside it and a cannon which they used in targeting civilians neighborhoods of Khan Arnabeh, Baath city and Jibba village.

In the neighboring Daraa province, an army unit killed all members of an armed terrorist group in al-Hammadin neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad and destroyed al-Nusra Front hotbeds at Syriatel vicinity and north of al-Bajabejeh quarter.

A number of terrorists were killed and injured while their weapons and equipment were destroyed to the east of Rajm al-Mashor during an army operation at the eastern countryside of the southern province of Daraa.

Meanwhile, terrorist of Al-Nusra takfiri group named al-Wafed Abu Turaba admitted responsibility for the twin terrorist car bombings that rocked Sweida city on Friday.

Head of the Security Committee in Sweida said in a statement to SANA that Abu Turaba, who was arrested on Sunday, admitted to participating in the attacks on the Military Police, the Criminal Security Department and the Municipality in the city on Friday, in addition to vandalism and robbery acts.
