Syrian Army Discovers Huge Amounts of Weapons and Explosives in Jisr al-Shughour

The Arab Syrian army on Sunday discovered huge amounts of rifles, pistols, hand grenades and bladed weapons, and dismantled explosives and dynamite planted on the roadsides.

The Syrian TV said that the armed gangs in Jisr al-Shughour area in Idleb governorate used this equipment to boogy-trap roads and bridges where the army was supposed to use in order to enter the city.

The engineering units in the army managed to dismantle all the explosives.

Earlier, the armed gangs stole five tons of dynamite and five hundred bags of fertilizer in order to use in making explosives.

Citizens Returning to Jisr al-Shughour Stresses Army’s Role in Restoring Safety

Citizens continue to return to their houses as the normal life started to return to Jisr al-Shughour city after the Syrian army restored safety and stability to the city.

One of the returning citizens told the Syrian TV that the movement in the city is close to its standard, adding that most of the stores reopened and people are gradually returning to the city.

Other citizens said that they are thankful for the army because they were terrorized and frightened before the army’s arrival.
