Syrian Army Discovers US-Made Missiles at Terrorists’ Strongholds in Damascus

The Syrian army found a large number of weapons and military equipment, including US-made missiles, during cleansing operations in Southern Damascus.

The engineering units of the army discovered the arms and equipment which included the US-made TOW missiles, RPGs and its ammunition, machine-guns, grenades, mortars and other ammunitions in a farm between the towns of Babbila and Beit Saham near the capital, a field source reported on Saturday.

Meantime, the army forces also found a network of tunnels near Damascus used by the terrorists for transferring goods and weapons in their purging operations in the towns of Yalda, Babbila and Beit Saham in Southern Damascus.

Also, at least 100kg of explosives and 75kg of mines and grenades were discovered in the wells near the farms of the two towns of Beit Tima and Beit Saber.

In a relevant development last Monday, the Syrian army forces discovered and seized a large number of arms and military equipment manufactured by the US and Britain from the bases of terrorist groups that had been captured by the government troops in Quneitra and Damascus provinces.

The army units found a large amount of military equipment and ammunition in the militant groups’ strongholds during cleansing operations in the village of Jabata al-Khashab in Northern Quneitra and the village of Beit Jin in Southwestern Damascus.

A field source said that the Syrian army forces have discovered several US-made machine-guns and sniper guns, TOW missiles and tanks as well as a large number of different types of bullets, mortars and communication systems.

They added that the army forces also found a large number of advanced medical and surgery equipment made by the US and Britain in the terrorists’ dens.
