Syrian Army Drives Terrorists out of Several Key Positions, Buildings in Dara’a City

Syrian Army troops engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists in the Western districts of Dara’a city and managed to push them back from more positions and buildings.

The army soldiers stormed terrorists’ concentration centers and gatherings in the neighborhood of al-Manshiyeh and could take control over several buildings near al-Ordon street, killing tens of militants including several commanders.

In the meantime, Syrian and Russian fighter jets and choppers pounded terrorists’ positions in the Western part of Dara’a city, killing and wounding a number of militants.

On Monday the army troops warded off a large-scale offensive of the terrorists on government forces’ positions in the Central and Western parts of Dara’a city, killing 45 militants of Al-Nusra Front (recently renamed to Fatah al-Sham Front) including several field commanders.

Al-Nusra and other groups of the newly-formed Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board) carried out a large-scale attack on government forces’ positions in the districts and neighborhoods of al-Manshiyeh, Sajineh, Hamideh al-Taah and Busra square in the Central and Western parts of Dara’a city, targeting residential areas including al-Sajari neighborhood by mortar shells.

The army soldiers, in the first hours of the terrorists’ attack, retreated tactically to regroup and further engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists, killing 45 terrorists and destroying five military vehicles and a tunnel.

Several commanders were amongst the killed terrorists.

The army troops managed to stop advances of the terrorists and carried out counterattack against Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at to take back lost positions.

The army drove terrorists out of the entire entrances of al-Manshiyeh, Sajineh, Hamideh al-Taah and Busra square.

Field sources said that a number of ambulances of the terrorist groups were dispatched to the battlefield to take away the injured to militant-held regions.
