Syrian Army enters important town in southeast Idlib

Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) entered the strategic town of Abu Dali in the southeastern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

Backed by heavy artillery from the southern and eastern flanks, the Syrian Arab Army was able to enter Abu Dali after breaking through Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s first line of defense.

The Syrian Arab Army lost Abu Dali during a powerful jihadist offensive this past Summer; this resulted in the ultimate expulsion of the government forces from Idlib.

Abu Dali has an important crossroad that is located inside the town; its capture is a top priority for the Syrian Arab Army’s High Command.
