Syrian Army, Hezbollah score big advance along Lebanese border

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah scored another major advance in the Qalamoun Mountains, today, after a series of intense clashes with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

Backed by their air force, the Syrian Republican Guard and Hezbollah captured the Sahel Rahwah and the strategic hilltop of Dahret al-Haweh near the Lebanese border-crossing into the Beqa’a Governorate’s ‘Arsal Municipality.

According to a Syrian military source, the Republican Guard and Hezbollah destroyed one of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s command-and-control centers in the Sahel Rahweh area, while also killing more than 15 HTS members before taking full control of these sites.

Following the capture of Sahel Rahweh and Dahret Al-Haweh, the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah seized Wadi Daqiq and Wadi Zarzour near the Faleeta Barrens, inflicting heavy damage on the defenses of HTS in the area.

The Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah are now targeting the Wadi Kheel area, which is another important site under the control of HTS.
