Syrian Army, Hezbollah Win Back More Lands South of Aleppo Province

“The Syrian army troops, Hezbollah, the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Harakat Al-Nujaba advanced South of the al-Arba’een Mountains (Jabal al-Arba’een) to the village of Abu Rayal after heavy clashes with the militants of Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and al-Nusra Front overnight,” the army said.

The village of Abu Rayal is situated at the Southwestern side of Jabal Al-Arba’een; it was also one of the main targets for the Russian airstrikes and the Syrian army’s artillery shells these last 72 hours in Southern Aleppo.

Combination of the well-trained forces of the Syrian army, motivated forces of the NDF and the experienced fighters of Hezbollah have brought about a united front which can not be defeated simply.

On Thursday, the Syrian army marched on terrorists’ concentration centers in the city of Aleppo.

The army destroyed terrorists’ positions in the neighborhoods of al-Lairamoun, al-Firdous and Bani Zaid in Aleppo, field sources said.

The Syrian forces also destroyed the Takfiri militants’ gathering centers in the districts of al-Maasaraniyeh, al-Sheikh Lutfi and Bustan al-Basha in Aleppo city.

Informed sources also said a large group of terrorists were killed in the military operations.

However, there were no immediate reports of the exact number of the dead terrorists.
