Iran exported almost $30bln worth of non-oil products during the last eleven months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2012 – February 19, 2013).

During the first eleven months of the current Iranian year, Iran’s the non-oil exports weighed 61.627 million tons.

Meanwhile, the imported commodities weighed 35.873 million tons, showing a 7% growth in comparison with the preceding year.

China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iraq, Afghanistan, India, Turkey, South Korea, Turkmenistan, Pakistan and Azerbaijan were the main importers of non-oil products from Iran.

The UAE, China, South Korea, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, India, Russia, Italy and Turkey were the leading exporters of non-oil goods to Iran.

In February, Head of Iran’s Customs Office Abbas Me’marnejad had told FNA that the value of Iran’s non-oil trade with the outside world has exceeded $85bln during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year.

Also in February, Head of the Exports Commission of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Asadollah Asgaroladi said that his commission plans to equalize the volume of the country’s non-oil exports and imports in the next Iranian year (starts March 21).

“If we are due to import goods worth about $60bln to $65bln, the country should have the same amount of exports,” Asgaroladi said.
