Terrorist group of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) continued their large-scale offensive in the Aleppo Governorate on Sunday, targeting the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses at the Al-Assad Academy and 3000 Housing Project in the southwestern sector of the provincial capital.

Beginning at dawn on Sunday morning, Jaysh Al-Fateh stormed the Syrian Arab Army-held 3000 Housing Project and nearby Al-Assad Military Academy, resulting in a violent series of battles that stretched for several hours.

Despite a brief infiltration at the 3000 Housing Project, the jihadist rebels were unable to hold any ground in this district, thanks in large part to the Syrian Arab Army’s stiff defenses.

Meanwhile, north of the 3000 Housing Project, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah beat back another jihadist group attempting to infiltrate into the Al-Zahra Association Quarter; this attack resulted in a number of deaths for Jaysh Al-Fateh on Sunday.

According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, the Syrian Armed Forces killed an estimated 50+ militants on Sunday, including several foreign combatants from Chechnya, China (Xinjiang Province), Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan.
