Syrian Army kills nearly 30 Nusra fighters in northern Hama

Al-Khalidiyah-7

The Syrian Al-Qaeda factions “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and “Jund Al-Aqsa” attempted to advance at the villages of Al-Tamanah, Sheik, and ‘Atshan on Friday, resulting in a flurry of clashes with the Syrian Arab Army’s 47th Regiment of the 11th Tank Division and the National Defense Forces (NDF).

The attack was eventually repelled by the Syrian Armed Forces after a number of failed infiltration attempts by the Syrian Al-Qaeda factions in the northern Hama countryside. Among the Al-Qaeda affiliates killed on Friday was one of Jabhat Al-Nusra’s top field commanders in the Hama Governorate – the militant leader was identified as “Abu Moussa”.

Two armored vehicles equipped with anti-aircraft machine guns were also destroyed by the Syrian Armed Forces.
