The Syrian army killed tens of militants, including an Al-Nusra Front commander, in Homs countryside in Western Syria on Sunday.
The army units killed Abideh Al-Naq, an Al-Nusra Front ringleader, along with more than 30 other terrorists in Bab Hood town in Homs countryside.

The Syrian army also destroyed three vehicles of the militants in Housh Al-Daqli district of al-Saan region in Homs countryside, and killed more than 20 terrorists in heavy clashes in the area.

Elsewhere in Homs countryside, the Syrian army units pushed back militants from Talf village and farms surrounding Talbiseh town.

On Saturday, the Syrian army carried out successful military operations against militant groups, killing a number of rebels, including non-Syrians, and injuring scores of others.

In Homs towns, the army destroyed a number of cars for militants, including weapons and munitions, and killed the militants who were inside the cars.

A military said on Saturday that members of an armed group were killed at al-Hamadiya neighborhood in the old city, while another army unit destroyed hideouts of the militants in Job al-Jarah, al-Khalidiya and Tal Dhab.

The source added that an army unit killed 20 militants in al-Saan area.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.

Tens of thousands of people have been killed since terrorist and armed groups turned protest rallies into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
