Syrian Army liberates ancient city of Quraytayn

Syrian Arab Army (SAA) announced the full liberation of the ancient city of Quraytayn in the southeastern countryside of the Homs Governorate.

Led by the Qalamoun Shield and 5th Legion, the Syrian Arab Army launched their final phase of their Quraytayn offensive this morning in a bid to expel the Islamic State (ISIS) from the city by the end of the day.

Their assault would prove successful, as the Islamic State was left no choice but to concede the city after being overwhelmed by the sheer force of the Syrian Arab Army units advancing inside Quraytayn.

With Quraytayn liberated, the Syrian Arab Army will now concentrate on the remaining ISIS sleeper cells in this desert region of the Homs Governorate.
