Syrian army liberates more towns from zionist terror gang ISIL in Homs Province

Syrian army has recaptured several towns from the Daesh Takfiri terrorists, following intense battles in the central part of the country.

The UK-based so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Monday that Syrian forces liberated the strategic Maheen and Hawareen towns in the southeastern countryside of the central Homs Province.

Syrian army soldiers broke the towns’ siege following an intense two-day battle against the Daesh militant group.

Syrian government troops backed by the country’s fighter jets also destroyed several militants’ hideouts and inflicted heavy losses on the Daesh terrorists across the militant-riddled regions.

The government forces also retook Sada, a predominantly Christian town in the eastern suburbs of Homs. The Syrian forces’ next plan will be to recapture the city of Qaryatayn, which was seized by the Deah group in early August.

Syrian army soldiers also launched an offensive on the ancient central city of Palmyra, situated 215 kilometers (133 miles) northeast of Damascus, on Sunday, killing a large number of al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front terrorists, Syria’s official news agency SANA reported.

Syrian troops have recaptured dozens of villages in northern, western and central Syria from militants over the past weeks.

The forces have recently been making rapid advances against the Takfiris, who are committing heinous crimes against all ethnic and religious groups, in several parts of the crisis-hit country.

The advances of the Syrian government forces against Daesh and other terrorist groups have been expedited by the air cover provided by Russia, which began on September 30 at the request of the Damascus government.

The foreign-backed militancy in Syria, which flared in March 2011, has left over 250,000 people dead.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, in an interview with China’s Phoenix television on Sunday, hailed Russia’s military engagement against terrorists in the violence-wrecked country, adding that since the beginning of the Russian campaign on September 30, terrorists had begun to retreat and flee in thousands.
